These are highly active dogs that need regular exercise, so please make sure you are prepared to provide this physical and mental stimulation daily before considering owning a Doberman. This does not just mean throwing your dog out in a yard to get their daily exercise; they love their people and want to do tasks for you and with you. Dobermans have been proven to be successful in a variety of events to include conformation, search and rescue, agility, barn hunt, dock diving, flyball, nose work, obedience/rally, tracking, working dog sport, and Schutzhund.
