RETURN POLICY: It is imperative that each and every puppy be returned to us in the event the owner can no longer care for the puppy for whatever reason, for the duration of its life.

PET HOMES: Puppies placed in "pet" homes will go home with limited AKC registration and a spay/neuter contract. When come of age puppies will be checked on to ensure they were neutered or spayed at the proper age and are in good condition. 

 

PERFORMANCE HOMES: Puppies placed in a show/performance home will receive a separate contract.

HEALTH EXAM: A veterinarian will examine all puppies to ensure they are healthy and sound before pickup with a health certificate included. 

 

EAR CROPS: All puppies will be cropped/docked with our vet before leaving us - no exceptions. Puppies will have their ears cropped between 7-8 weeks of age. This is done early on before the ear cartilage undergoes hardening. The puppies are sedated and undergo the cropping procedure by an experienced veterinarian. Dr. Mero does not crop our puppies.

POSTING: Posting of the ears is necessary for months after the procedure to allow for the cartilage of the ears to harden and for the dog to have the correct upright crop appearance. There are many different methods of post, we will show all of our new owners firsthand how to post ears and offer 24-hour support to help guide the process along.

TAIL DOCK: All puppy's tails will be docked around 2-4 days old per the AKC standard leaving at least 2 vertebrae. 

​

MICROCHIPS: All puppies will receive microchips before going to their new homes. 

​

DEWORMER: Puppies will receive several doses of dewormer about 3 weeks apart starting at 4 weeks old before going home. 

​

VACCINES: Puppies will be UTD on vaccines before going to new homes. 

​

SOCIALIZATION: Our puppies will be handled from a young age, they will get exposure to several different environments here at the ranch including loud sounds, water, walking on a leash, beginnings of crate training, and exposure to horses, cats, children, and other dogs. They will receive weekly grading evaluating temperaments and conformation for show/performance homes. 

​

TRAVEL: Our puppies travel via SUV regularly prior to going home.
